All Star

All Star Sandwich Bar in Cambridge's Inman Square

Jerked sweet potato wedges: Fried sweet potato wedges tossed in our jerk rub, drizzled with All Star Scotch Bonnet pineapple glaze, served with ginger-mint yogurt ranch: That's a heck of a lot of tasty words in one side of fries. I could taste about three and a half of them. That being said, they were spicy and delicious.

Texan Reuben: Daily Special on a Tuesday: Smoked beef brisket and Monterrey jack cheese, cumin slaw and chipotle Russian dressing, grilled, on dark rye ($9.95): Nice, I love caraway rye bread (though this wasn't actually dark), the brisket was all right, the cumin slaw and dressing were great.

The Funky: (why it's named that I don't know) Buttermilk-fried chicken tenders with sharp cheddar cheese, applewood-smoked bacon, red leaf lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and herb mayo on grilled sourdough ($9.95): It should've been in a bun rather than sourdough, the chicken tenders rendering the situation too bulky for a harder bread.
